Billing

What you pay for on a plan, how compute and bandwidth are counted, what costs nothing, and where to see your usage and invoices.

You pay for a plan each month, plus what your apps use. The plans and their prices are on the pricing page.

How it is counted
Plan A fixed amount each month, paid ahead
Compute Per second, for every replica that is running. The price depends on the size
Bandwidth The data your apps send out. Each plan includes an amount. Only what goes beyond it is billed
Custom domains The first domain of your own on each app is free. Each further one costs $0.15 a month, counted by the second while it is connected
  • A sleeping app. It has no running replica, so no compute is counted. See Sleep and wake.
  • A paused app. The same.
  • Builds. They are listed on the bill at $0.
  • The platform URL of an app, and the first domain of your own on each app.

A replica that is kept always on runs all month and is counted all month.

Open Team settings, Billing. It shows the usage so far in this period, for each app, and the invoices.

Owners and admins see billing. Only the owner can change the plan and the payment method. See Teams.

A new team can try the platform before paying: 7 days with $5 of usage credit, without a card. It starts once you verify a GitHub account that is at least 30 days old.

The trial has no bandwidth allowance: the data your apps send counts against the credit. When the credit is used up or the days are over, your apps are paused until you choose a plan. The pricing page has the plans.
